The Japanese bobtail cat is considered to be a rather healthy and hearty cat; while all cat breeds can potentially develop health problems. obviously. this breed is not known to have any genetic health issues. They can still get sick… and die… but they’re pretty healthy!

Japanese Bobtail cats are not completely hypoallergenic but may be better tolerated by people with mild allergies. These cats lack an undercoat, which is often a significant source of allergens in other breeds. Regular grooming can reduce the presence of allergens by removing loose fur and dander.
